Little Nest is a haven for families and foodies alike. This neighbourhood café, located just off Vancouver’s Commercial Drive, earned itself critical acclaim–and a loyal following–within weeks of opening. With Mark Cornett and Craig Wright, gifted chefs formerly of Lumiere and Blue Water Café, the kitchen’s menu is constantly evolving, with thought and care always given to the seasonality, locality, freshness and integrity of ingredients. The Little Nest ethos involves creating positive relationships with everyone involved in the culture of food, including local farmers and delicatessens. The café’s large open space is whimsical, airy and light, and is designed to allow kids to be kids, while grown ups can still feel grown up…able to fully enjoy finely and freshly prepared breakfasts and lunches, as well as seasonal cakes and baked goods made by ex-Lumiere pastry chef/owner Mary Macintyre. To top it off, Little Nest serves Ethical Bean’s organic, fair-trade espresso. Little Nest: A reminder of the tasty things that happen when top-quality food meets a shared space where people can connect.
