<p><strong>Fine dining Servers </strong>provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, describing menu items &amp; wine pairings. Excellent communication skills are required, along with one-three years previous fine-dining serving experience.</p>
<p><strong>Service Bartenders</strong> are responsible for our wine bar. They will maintain our wine stock within the restaurant, and assist our guests with wine bar menu selections. Excellent communication skills are required, along with a minimum one-two years of serving experience, preferably in fine dining.<strong><br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong>Support staff &#8211; Hosts and Bussers</strong> conduct a range of tasks to enhance the overall customer experience. They will take restaurant reservations, welcome guests and escort them through the restaurant, as well as assisting in the place setting, clearing and cleaning of tables. Excellent customer service skills are required, along with previous experience, preferably in fine dining.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Old Vines Restaurant Culinary Team</strong></p>
<p>For our 2012 season starting in April, we are seeking mature, friendly  and eager-to-learn individuals to join our culinary team in the  following full time and part time roles. You will ensure the line is prepared for service, and freshness of mis en place. Two years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in fine dining, as well as Level 1 Food Safe.</p>

FFCF is seeking for a person to fill a new position of <strong>Coordinator, Okanagan Meet Your Maker</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Meet Your Maker is an annual networking event that provides an opportunity for small-scale producers and small-scale buyers to meet and do business. Modeled after the Portland, Oregon’s Farmer-Chef Connection, Meet Your Maker includes farmers, fishers, ranchers, processors, distributor, retailers, restaurants, and caterers. FarmFolk CityFolk has been organizing a Metro<br />

<p style="text-align: left;">Reporting to FarmFolk CityFolk’s Events Manager, the Coordinator will be responsible for organizing our 2012 Okanagan Meet Your Maker event. This is a contract position from February 1, 2012 to May 15, 2012. It is expected that time requirements are part-time/casual throughout the contract with full- time work nearer the event date (Monday, April 16) with work as needed until wrap-up by the middle of May. The success of the event will determine its annual continuation in which case should your coordination also be deemed successful we would invite you to continuing organizing Okanagan Meet Your Maker on an annual basis.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br />
• Adding to FFCF’s existing Okanagan Contact list, create an invitation list of<br />
200+ businesses in the region<br />
• Working with the Event Manager, create an agenda based on regional needs<br />
• Secure a venue and a date (either in or between Penticton or Kelowna)<br />
• Create a promotion plan and follow through with promotions, including<br />
providing FFCF information for our social media<br />
• Create an evaluation form for participants to complete<br />
• Work with Event Manager to create an invitation and PDF poster<br />
• Coordinate lunch (supplied by participants)<br />
• Obtain necessary workshop supplies<br />
• Recruit a dozen volunteers for the event and hold a pre-event volunteer<br />
meeting<br />
• Event day – ensure the event runs smoothly<br />
• Ensure budget is followed, invoices are paid and income is in<br />
• Complete a report with comments and suggestions for next year</p>

• Experience working with a not-for-profit and working with a small budget<br />
• Experience coordinating special events of similar scale<br />

In this challenging position, the Wine Director reports directly to the Restaurant Director and is responsible for providing efficient, quality service to our guests. The Wine Director prioritizes and oversees the selection, development and management of CinCin’s award-winning wine program. Responsibilities also include all wine purchasing, receiving and inventory control, as well as the wine training and education of CinCin associates.</p>
<p>To be successful in this position, the Wine Director holds a sommelier certification and a minimum of two years progressive fine dining experience. The Wine Director has an extensive knowledge of wine, as well as food and wine pairing. The ideal candidate will also maintain strong vendor relationship and source comparison skills.</p>

Our shop boasts a stunning room featuring classic chocolates, macarons, cakes and pastries: all items are hand-made daily using only premium ingredients. Barista crafted espresso and liquid chocolate are also a central part of the cafe, complemented by a selection savoury products such as sandwiches and soup. We are also licensed and offer a selection of wine and spirits to complement our wide array of products. We are open 7 am to midnight on weekdays and 9 am to midnight on weekends and holidays.</p>
<p><strong>We are currently hiring for the following positions</strong>:</p>
<p><strong>Full-time experienced Sous Chef</strong><br />
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in professional pastry kitchens, including time spent in a retail pastry environment, and be well versed in inventory control, costing and purchasing.<br />
We are also looking for passionate, full-time pastry cooks.</p>
<p><strong>Full-time experienced Chocolatier</strong><br />
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in professional chocolate kitchens and expertise in making handcrafted chocolates. Time spent in a retail chocolate environment, as well as being well versed in inventory control, costing and purchasing are all assets.</p>
<p><strong>Full-time Sales Associates and Baristas </strong><br />
The ideal candidates must display professionalism, a warm, inviting personality and have open availability.</p>
