After sabering open a bottle of Tribute commemorative Sparkling wine with a downhill ski, Sumac Ridge Estate Winery founder Harry McWatters and senior winemaker Mark Wendenburg presented Alexandre Bilodeau, the first Canadian to win an Olympic Gold Medal on Canadian soil, with a signed bottle of Tribute Gold.

John Blakeley Honoured by Government of France

In a ceremony held last Monday (November 30), the Government of France, as represented by its Consul General to Vancouver, Mr. Alexandre Garcia, honoured restaurateur (and owner of Bistro Pastis) John Blakeley by naming him a Chevalier (Knight) of the Ordre du Merite Agricole.
