Part of the Top Table group (think West, Cin Cin, and the Blue Water Cafe), Araxi is at the forefront of fine dining in British Columbia.

Its modern wood and leather look with light amber glow, heated patio (remember, this is Whistler), and massive, well chosen wine list make it one of Whistler’s finest restaurants, a praise due not only to its successful and well thought-out aesthetic, but also the product it belts out night after cold night.

Executive chef James Walt, formerly chef at our favourite lost oasis, the Sooke Harbour House (as well as the chef at our embassy in Rome), is creative, imaginative, and cutting edge. His kitchen crew worth are their weight in saffron, and supping from their plates is one of those experiences worth the trip up any mountain, even in mid-summer. Now 27 years old, Araxi has some of the best trained and best travelled staff in BC, and unsurprisingly it has garnered some of the most coveted awards in the biz.
