Shih Lee and Tsun-Yuan Lee of Hui’s Farm in Aldergrove were one of eight purveyors featured at the Shangri-La Hotel’s third monthly Market at MARKET by Jean-Georges on August 19. Not only could the public buy their organic mushrooms on the hotel’s third-floor terrace, they were also showcased, along with the other vendors, on the restaurant’s Farmers Brunch menu.
Wanting to emphasize the Shangri-La’s support for local food, Executive Chef Wayne Harris partnered with Vancouver Farmers Markets to “bring the market to MARKET”. It’s a creative concept that offers market goers the added benefits of complimentary wine sampling (in this case, Poplar Grove Pinot Gris and Merlot) and fine dining, unavailable at any other Vancouver farmers market.

Produce from SOLEfood Farm is grown on two acres of Concord Pacific Developments real estate at Pacific Boulevard & Carrall Street.
