Today at 5:30 pm, BC Liquor Stores will host in the Spirits Room of their 39th & Cambie location, a special release of Louis XIII Le Jeroboam de Rémy Martin Grande Champagne Cognac. Of 100 produced, this is one of only two available for purchase in Canada. Louis XIII Senior Brand Ambassador, Alexandre Quintin, will be offering a complimentary tasting of this exquisite spirit. A draw will then be conducted for the privilege of purchasing Le Jeroboam at a list price of $25,000.
Le Jeroboam contains three litres of Louis XIII Cognac that has been patiently crafted by four generations of cellar masters over the course of more than 100 years. It is a blend of 1,200 of the finest eaux-de-vie produced exclusively from grapes grown in Grande Champagne, the most prestigious cru of Cognac. Louis XIII is aged for decades in century-old Limousin oak tierçons, resulting in a complex golden-yellow nectar said to contain 200 distinct aromas.

The stunning Le Jeroboam carafe is fashioned from five kilograms of 24-carat gilded crystal by a team of nine master artisans at the Cristallerie de Sèvres. The design was inspired by a metal flask found on the site of the 1569 Battle of Jarnac, and acquired from a peasant in 1850 by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin I. Each carafe is numbered and certified.
Louis XIII Le Jeroboam is presented in an oak coffret that contains a Cellar Master’s pipette for decanting, four crystal glasses and a shelf display designed by Christophe Pillet, a Louis XIII book, and a personal invitation from Cellar Master, Pierrette Trichet, to visit the House of Rémy Martin.
