On Friday, May 14th, during Canada’s first Vancouver Craft Beer Week, the first annual BC Beer Awards sponsored by Brewery Creek Liquor Store were presented for the best brews in 11 style categories along with one overall winner know as best in show.

With tremendous gratitude and pride for all our talented and passionate regional brewers, I present the 2010 winners:

Paul,

Is there somewhere on the VCBW that had tasting notes of the winners and where they can be purchased? For a newbie like me, it would be interesting to understand the nuances between IPA, Pale Ale, and Session Ale.

Unfortunately, we don’t have an “official” set of tasting notes for the BC Beer Awards winners, however, I did judge the event and would happily sit down with you for a tasting session at the Alibi Room to share some insights.
