Katherine van der Gracht

by Editor on October 2, 2009

Katherine van der Gracht is a Larousse literate, savvy sommelier, wine consultant, and freelance food, wine, and travel writer. She has spent the better part of the last two decades devouring her way through Europe, including living in 5 of the 20 Parisian arrondisements in 2002.

The quickest palate and wit in the West, Katherine is the lone skirt on the Wine Operations and Logistics team for the annual Vancouver International Wine Festival. To atone for her gastronomically gluttonous ways, she volunteers as a Big Sister as well as several other Lower Mainland non-profits, including YVR Golf for Kids and the BC Crisis Centre.

When she is not writing about her eclectic food and wine adventures, she can be found fly fishing the local rivers of British Columbia and running destination marathons around the world. Unless it’s Sunday, in which case she’s probably gone for a 10 mile run, picked up some fresh fixings at Granville Market, and started slaving over the stove with her NFL on in the background… all before 10:30am.
