Urban Diner member, JoieFarm, has announced the release of their first Reserve series wine, the 2007 Reserve Chardonnay and 2007 PTG.

In their own words:

“Our Reserve series is inspired by our love of the wines of Burgundy and our recognition that Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay excel in the Okanagan Valley.  It is our stated goal to utilize our best lots in any given year to create small quantities of high quality wine, with an emphasis on low-yields, careful selection and traditional Old World methods.  Only in this manner can we create wines that demonstrate the full potential of the Okanagan Valley.

The 2007 Reserve Chardonnay was awarded a 2009 BC Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in BC Wine, deeming it as one of the 12 best wines released in British Columbia this year.  The 2007 PTG is the only red wine we produce, based on the Burgundian country wine “Passetoutgrain”, it is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay.  Production of both wines is extremely limited as 15 barrels and 2 puncheons yielded 423 cases of 2007 Reserve Chardonnay and 6 barrels and 1 puncheon yielded 193 cases of 2007 PTG .   Detailed production information on each of the wines can be found by clicking here.”

There are very limited quantities of this wine, so if you are interested in getting your hands on some, I suggest you get right on it! The offer ends on September 15th. ~ PK
