Zagat has released their fast food survey results, now before you go looking, bear in mind that picking through fast food restaurants is kind of like picking which Golden Girl you’d most like to hot tub with. The big winner seems to be the size queens over at The Cheesecake Factory who scooped a hand full of firsts in the Full Service Chains categories. In-N-Out Burger took the best burger award, which is telling only in that it’s the most easily replicated product at home, it’s just a regular burger on a fluffy bun, all elements are recognizable as burger components. I’ld be willing to bet a PF Changs in Vancouver wouldn’t last 3 years.
My wife and I were having that very discussion two nights ago.
Although I like to see how the place runs and it’s size etc, I do not think shopping mall Americanized Chinese Food would work in a town where even the average joe on the street can tell you three regional styles of Chinese food off the top of their head.
