Meat Bracket

by Keith Talent on March 26, 2009

March Madness, the annual NCAA basketball is in full swing. I’ll admit to having about as much interest in collegiate basketball as I do in the new Snack Wrap Mac, or Vancouver’s recent inclusion into the the semi-big leagues of soccer, i.e. none. That said the 64 team elimination bracket they use to determine the tournament winner is ideal for loftier minded ranking. For example this genius hosted a tournament of meats. I won’t spoil the surprise, but do want to know what the hell chicken tails are and how they made it to the final four.  And it’s nice to see Hanger steak with the big upset, taking down a four seed, pretty good.

The hanger over filet was an easy call. Boudin over Kielbassa, now that was a nice upset. I was also a little surprised at short ribs knocking out the NY Strip, that kind of F’ed up my lower beef bracket.

The question, though, is who governs the seeding system? Proscuitto 7? Osso bucco 9?? Just like NCAA: FIX.
