My desperate, deep and abiding love affair with Tequila is not an especially hidden one to my friends and family (or readers of Urban Diner, for that matter), and certainly not my customers. It seems like I spend a disproportionate amount of time out of my work week lovingly describing the (widely misunderstood) production process of Tequila. Well, now I have a visual aid.
Graham Duncan at Drinksville.com has posted a terrific video he made during a recent trip to Casa Herradura that takes us from the Blue Agave fields of Jalisco into the pre-distillation ovens through to bottling, and it did a great job of making me miss Mexico enough to hit Expedia after it was over.
Click here to take the tour, it’s a quick and fascinating peek behind the scenes of one of the world’s most delicious experiences.

Great post, Simon – as a long time fan of Tequila Herradura (and long time resident of Mexico as well) having visited tequila manufacturing companies and the agave fields is an amazing experience.
