A neat little recipe book arrived in my mailbox the other day entitled “Cook the ‘Hood“. It is a neighborhood project sponsored by the Commercial Drive Business Society that was put together by Wendy and Shaun Walsh featuring 25 recipes from Commercial Drive businesses. The proceeds from the sales are being donated to the Quest Outreach Society — a neighbourhood partnering charity which rescues food and redirects it to those in need.

This is a great little book, though fmed will already be familiar with all the places in it :-). I got it for Christmas and am looking forward to trying out some of the recipes. Part of the proceeds go to Quest Outreach Society which is a food rescue group in Vancouver.
