About Freakin’ Time

by Paul Kamon on October 1, 2008

Voya arrives in 17 days, a year behind schedule. From the press release:

Vancouver, BC, October 1, 2008: Los Angeles-based Kor Hotel Group proudly announces the much anticipated opening of its first Canadian venture and the latest hotel to join its highly acclaimed ‘Urban Retreat’ portfolio. On October 18, Vancouver welcomes Loden. Inspired by a name representing a deep, indulgent shade of the color green, Loden Vancouver, along with its restaurant Voya, will bring Vancouver a refreshed and a uniquely Kor experience, offering unparalleled amenities, high design and intuitive service. [...] Voya Restaurant, led by locally lauded executive chef Marc-Andre Choquette, will be the centrepiece of Loden’s food and beverage program. Evocative of voyage, the name is a window into the philosophy of Voya – that food can be a journey unto itself. The intimate 80-seat restaurant and lounge will host guests to a transformational experience, delivering them to brilliant worlds of tastes, presentations and textures.

Woot.
