Deathwatch OThai

OThai owner Luck Sarabhayavanija is apparently out at his own restaurant. An email message from him was forwarded to the media yesterday:

At a recent meeting of OThai’s investors, they expressed the desire to take the restaurant in a different direction.  Unfortunately, this is not something that I can support. Under such circumstances, I feel it is best for all concerned that we sever our business relationship. Please be advised that effective immediately I am no longer involved in OThai. I understand it will be re-branded with a different focus in the near future.

Good luck, Luck.

I wanted to say thanks to all the people that supported O Thai. It has been an amazing experience & I am thankfull for the opportunity to have operated a great place in such a wonderful city. This was a blessing in disguise & I look forward to serving you all soon.

Lesson learned. Never mix business with fam.

ps I’ve never heard this one before
“Good luck, Luck.”

Thanks for the wishes though UD

Good food at O Thai, but I hope for your next venture, you implement good service to go with your good food. My experience at your restaurant was one time only as the service was less than alright which is a shame.

Conclusion: Overpriced Thai food with an identity crisis on square plates.
