Gudrun is spot on and overdue here in Seveston. There are lots of us that travel regulary to other parts of the world and come home to apprecaite our beautiful waterside village. Gudrun could be anywhere in Europe and lucky us - its here. for anyone opposed to pricing there or ambient things, I'd say its not a place for you. It's so easy to 'get' this place, ya just want to go there whenever you think of kicking back for a bit of good food , wine and ambience with good friends. Dont expect to load up on the white heavy carb counter meals in super sizes becasue that's not Gudrun is about. Thank Gawd.

I love the concept and Gudrun differentiate's itself from the rest in Steveston... Eclectic, diverse and interesting wine & beer list. Organic, eco- freindly wines, meats, cheeses, greens, and nuts all served with a stylish hand...Hands down some of the best cheeses I have tried. Cozy, unpretentious atmosphere, with soothing jazz to serenade you. Thank you for bringing the unique dining experience to the burbs :)

I suppose the cat is out of the bag. This holiday, we did consume our fair share of fine wines and beers after work - often to the point of blackout. Aside from the pulsating sledgehammer that left some major fissures across my skull, I wouldn't trade it for the world. You missed a great party. If you change your mind and visit us when we are open for business (4:30-12am) you will find that there is something for everyone, $4 soups, $8 salads, and many acceptable wines for under $10 a glass (still, the Marc Tempe Pinot Gris Zellenberg at $16 a glass is worth every penny. yum!). Nothing but love, staff.

Decided to take a look in the window of Gudrun (it was a mid-afternoon so closed at the time), and what a disappointment upon first glance. There were half drunk drinks still sitting on the bar from the previous evening I'm guessing, and crap lying around and generally was a mess. The chairs were strewn haphazardly around the tables. I would've thought that it would've been made to look enticing to on-lookers, but it was obvious that no effort whatsoever had been made with the place. It's new after all and people will be checking it out, but what a dreadful way to leave it for everyone to see. When you charge those prices in Steveston, you need to be on top of your game. Look into Papi's window when it's closed, it's immaculate and inviting. Shan't be giving it a try, that's a cert.
