The Century Plaza Hotel and Spa Executive Manager Sergio Cocchia has once again tag-teamed with his wife and business partner Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia to showcase a dining concept that complements the hugely successful Absolute Spa at the Century Plaza. Indulge guilt free in local products, rich with flavour and low in remorse. beyond restaurant + lounge introduces absolute spa cuisine: working together with highly regarded nutritionist Jacqueline Ehlert, Executive Chef Cale Gault has created a 3 course menu; analyzed to reflect healthy dining without losing gourmet taste. Whether you decide to try the complete menu at $38.00 per person, or choose a la carte from the 2 starters, main courses and desserts – this is a choice you can really feel good about. Executive Chef Cale Gault created this seasonally inspired menu with a focus on great taste, which translates to lo-cal – both low in calories, fat and sugars, but also utilizing local products. Nutritionist Jacqueline Ehlert has analyzed each recipe and lists total calories, protein, carbohydrates, fibre, fat, saturated fat, trans fats, cholesterol, vitamins and minerals.
“This menu is all about good food,” states Sergio Cocchia. “Great taste, good portion sizes, quality products and good for you. This is a menu both my wife and I can enjoy without any compromise – I like big food, she likes lo-cal, we both enjoy good wine; this works perfectly.”

CURTIS WONG JOINS HARRY KAMBOLIS’ RESTAURANTS AS DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

Vancouver, BC… Restaurateur Harry Kambolis, owner of Raincity Grill, C Restaurant and Nu Restaurant + Lounge, is pleased to announce Curtis Wong has joined the company as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Wong has an extensive background in the hospitality industry, having worked with such upscale hotels as the Pan Pacific, Wedgewood and Metropolitan. Wong was with Tourism Vancouver as Business Development Manager for two years before leaving to join the new location of Holt Renfrew as Specialty Concierge.
Says Kambolis, “As more restaurant options exist for our patrons, we want to focus on our current customer base and capitalize on the strength of the relationships we already have. Targeting meeting planners, the convention market and corporate groups, Curtis’ responsibilities will also include the overall marketing of the restaurants.”
