Earth Hour at Yew Restaurant in the Four Seasons saw 200 guests dining by the light of a thousand candles. When the hour was up the customers wanted to keep the lights off (Province).

My first table was six very happy men who all seemed to be good friends. They ordered six mutton kebobs, three lamb popsicles, and three beef shortribs. I was so shocked by their order that I must have just stood there for a minute figuring out what to say.
“Is there a problem?” one of them asked me. I told them exactly what the problem was – there was no fibre or vitamins in their dinner order and, on principle, I couldn’t place the order.
