Today’s National Post has a story on the high end hospitality market (hotels and restaurants) and how it’s attracting more and more luxury brands and driving up the cost of real estate. Nothing new or exciting (depressing, really), but this para caught my eye:
Recently, TV’s Gordon Ramsay was spotted around town looking for a location.
As far as I know, that was just a rumour, the punctuation of an industry gossip game of telephone. Last week in a Globe story similar to the one published in the Post today, Fiona Morrow caught the same sniffle:
Notorious British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is said to have been in the city in the past week.
Has anyone actually served or seen him, or is this total bullshit? Feel free to comment away under the poll…

Any of them would be a coup for the city. Gordon Ramsey and Susar LKee would be my first choices. Oliver’s restaurants are overrated. Rob Feenie – awaiting his big return.
With Feenie’s relationshio with Cactus, I don’t see him opening a new place in the new future.
bart.
So nobody has anything on Ramsay even visiting Vancouver?
Chatted with a London server friend at RHR and he said that GR has been to New York and Dubai in the last couple of months not Vancouver.
Not Vancouver, but he was definitely in Whistler filming on 21 Jan 2009.
