Celebration Continues at Le Gavroche…

Three Decades of USA Dinner on February 13th

Manuel Ferreira

Vancouver, BC… To celebrate three decades of Le Gavroche, owner Manuel Ferreira is hosting a series of dinners highlighting three decades of wine (one a month from January through April). First was ‘Three Decades of Don Melchor’ in January. Next up is ‘Three Decades of USA’, happening on February 13th – featuring American wines from the ‘80s, ‘90s and now (see menu below). Tickets are $250 per person, and are still available at Le Gavroche (604.685.3924). Don’t miss your chance to celebrate 30 years of American wines and 30 years of Le Gavroche on Wednesday, February 13th – just in time for an early Valentine’s Day treat. Next month, look for ‘Three Decades of Faively’ on March 12th. After that comes the ‘Bordeaux Extravaganza’ on April 9th.

Manuel Ferreira owner of Le Gavroche, consummate host and juggler of many hats, has been the driving force behind this beloved Vancouver gem of a restaurant for the last twenty years. Ferreira has undoubtedly one of the best cellars in Canada, amassing a collection of vintages from as far back as the late 1800’s. Opened in 1978, the setting of Le Gavroche has charmed Vancouverites and travelers alike. The gently refurbished Victorian house (circa 1910’s) features views of the Coastal Mountains and Coal Harbour from the upstairs terrace, a cozy fireplace for those cold winter evenings, and a private reception room that can accommodate up to 28 guests. For more information, check out the website at www.legavroche.ca or visit the restaurant at 1616 Alberni Street, Vancouver, BC. To book reservations please call 604-685-3924.
