The man, the legend. Film.com has more on the Vancouver episode of Bourdain’s show, No Reservations:

Ultimately, as the episode wrapped with a food-filled night at one of the chef’s houses, it became apparent that Bourdain’s friendships with his three amigo chefs [Tojo, Posteraro, Vij] is what brings him back to Vancouver again and again. What makes a city cool? That’s a complicated question to answer, but frequent visits and an endorsement from Anthony Bourdain will certainly help any city to be a bit cooler.

SOBA! Seriously soba? At the EA staff canteen once a week? Wow did I ever pick the wrong career path.

Nobody likes Bourdain as much as me, but he’s dangerously close to zipping up the leather jacket and getting out his water skis. In what context was that piece even semi-interesting except as corporate fluff, was Simi Sara unavailable?

I’ve detected a certain weariness with the devils pact he’s entered into in his latest series. You can see the man thinking “yeah, it’s cool to travel around the world but if I have to film one more meet and greet with local politicians I’ll take up heroin again.”

Poor Jason. Isn’t this the guy Andrew had to ban from UD?

Look at his “restaurant guide” post. It’s scary!

Obsess much?
