by admin on June 7, 2007

New restaurant going in next door to Brix at 1144 Homer St. in Yaletown (the old Soho Cafe and Billiards spot). Idea man behind it is Glenn Cormier (resume here), the F&B guy from the Granville Island Hotel (Dockside). Opening at the end of summer.

We look forward to opening early to mid August.
I am truly excited about this space…the long and narrow Montreal style room has its fair share of brick and wood beam and we are striving to create one of the funkiest lounges in town. I feel it will be a real compliment to the Yaletown community.
Our wine bar/tapas lounge will feature exciting new flavour from Executive Chef Ryan Zuvich (previously Chef de Cuisine for Bin 942) and a really fun wine list from our Sommlier (sorry…cant tell who yet…current employer considerations)
We are in full construction mode now…if you are walking in the neighborhood feel free to stick your head in for a sneak peak.
Hope to see you all in a few months.

checking out dinerhere.ca and found a note saying plan B is closed? Not open yet or not opening?

I certainly hope not. I would imagine they have been delayed due to the City Strike.

They are still working away. They’re right above Capones, so we can hear every step of the project progressing. Looking forward to checking it out when it’s done. Good luck, Glenn.

Yes we are still working away…City strike has defiately slowed us down but we can see the light at the end now… just a few weeks most likely.
Things are taking shape and looking good, we cant wait to server you all.

OPENING DAY…THURSDAY NOVEMBER 8TH…

Sat at the bar last night, off to a quiet start early but picking-up as I left. The menu looks great, but what I really liked was the three oz. pour for the wines by the glass, half price plus .25 cents. Very nice to see for a tapas style place, you can have multiple wines to pair with food without getting fleeced ( or hammered) great idea.

Visited for the first time last night. The food was delicious but wish the server would have told us each plate only served two people enjoyably. There were four of us so we would have doubled our orders.
